It’s Time we Discuss Trans-seasonal Dressing: The Modern Girl’s Guide

Things are finally cooling off in The Hills but as we move into autumn, we know that there will still be warm days ahead. This brings us to the topic of trans-seasonal dressing because whether you live in The Hills, London or LA, there are always those timeless, versatile pieces that you can carry from season to season given their non-trend led nature.  In other words: trans-seasonal clothes look fresh and new, they freshen our wardrobe in the depths of winter and at the close of summer. In summary: cool, modern, wearable fashion.

Stacy Duguid, Elle’s editor-at-large tells us that she has only one piece of advise when shopping trans-seasonal fashion.  Duguid says, “buy pieces that resonate with the coming season as opposed to the last”.  And we agree!  Here are our key items to invest in and carry your summer wardrobe to autumn.

The Plain Tee: Forget about anything too blousy and think square-cut with with short sleeves.  Wear it tucked into a black skirt for work and with your boyfriend jeans on the weekend. The Bardot Brixton Tee is perfect: cut from linen so it’s airy and light but looks great layered for those colder days.

The New Coat: Not yet cold enough to get out your winter kit but brisk enough to need something. Luckily our Rouse Hill Town Centre shops are ablaze with statement coats that will add a bit of pizzazz to our wardrobe for seasons to come. Try the Washed Drilled Parka or the Tie Waist Parka!

The New Wide Trouser: Skinny pants are over.  Ditch them for wide, smart, office approved trousers.  These Witchery pair, a classic style with modern tailoring will do nicely!  We also like these punchy pair from Forecast (and at $69.95 – they’re a steal!)
