SUSTAINABILITY AT ROUSE HILL TOWN CENTRE
Our focus has been to drive and implement innovative environmental measures and systems that enhance performance but also minimise our impact on the environment.

5 QUICK AND EASY WAYS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE TODAY
Your small actions can make a big change!
It’s easy to make a contribution to a healthier, fairer, more sustainable world, just by making some slight adjustments to your usual habits.
Here are 5 quick and easy ways for you to make a difference today:
1. BRING YOUR OWN REUSABLE COFFEE CUP
Next time you’re grabbing a coffee here at one of your favourite cafes in-centre, bring your own reusable coffee cup, to help reduce the 1 billion disposable coffee cups that get sent to landfill in Australia each year.
2. RECYCLE YOUR SOFT PLASTIC BAGS
Did you know that your soft plastic bags (from things like frozen food, cereal box liners, bubble wrap, pasta bags, used shopping bags, bread bags etc) can’t be recycled in your regular Council kerbside recycling bin?
Rather than send them to landfill, bring them in-centre to put them in the specially marked bin outside Coles and Woolworths where they will be recycled into things like outdoor furniture!
3. DONATE YOUR OLD CLOTHES
Bring in your old clothes to place in one of our charity clothes donation bins. It doesn’t matter what brand they are or what condition they are in – clear out your wardrobe and make a difference at the same time! We've got clothing donation bins in all of our car parks, so it's easy for you to give your unused clothes to someone who needs them more!
4. BUY FAIR TRADE
Look for the ‘Fairtrade’ certification on products like chocolate, coffee, tea and vanilla when doing your grocery shopping at Coles and Woolworths.
5. BRING YOUR REUSABLE BAGS
Say no to plastic bags and bring your own reusable bags instead! Don't own any yet? Coles and Woolworths sell them at the checkout for a very reasonable price!
