Originating from Detriot, Michigan, you would think that I know a lot of cars and I wish that I could say that's true. I know so little about cars types that I continously get into cars that I think are Ubers only to be told that no, they are not in fact work for Uber. This is why I think Uber needs to note the colour of the car on the app but I digress.
When I catch up with Peter, I have so many questions but I don't want to sound stupid - I am incredibly interested in hot rods so I just go for it. What is a hot rod exactly? Peter tells me that hot rods are are typically old, classic American cars with large engines modified for linear speed. Peter belongs to a hot rod club,
Rodders Inc. collectively the club has 20 mostly American and Australian classic cars all dating pre-70's. Peter personally has 3, his favourite being his '59 green & white Chevy Bel Air.
Peter starts to tell me about the 5th annual
Rouse Hill Rumble that Rodders Inc is hosting on the 14th of August at Rouse Hill Town Centre. The club will bring their cars to be viewed and have also invited some of the best hot rods in NSW. Attendees will be able to look at the cars, ask questions and of course take photos from 10-3PM with a rockabilly band playing in the background. A panel of judges will pick a top 5 of the day an there will also be a people's choice award!
If you want a fun day for the family - you found it. Food, tunes and cool cars.
