5 Easy and On Trend Christmas Cocktails for 2021

It’s time to get jolly! If you want your guests to have an extra merry Christmas in 2021, you should consider serving up some extra special festive cocktails!

We’ve got ideas for every taste and age, whether they like their drinks fruity, creamy, alcoholic or non alcoholic.

So get your Jingle Juice on and shake up some of these beauties! We’ve also provided free cocktail recipe cards to print and add to your Christmas table.

 

POMEGRANATE CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL


Ingredients (per cocktail):

1tbsp cointreau (skip or replace with orange juice for a mocktail)
1tbsp pomegranate juice
1tsp pomegranate seeds
1tsp fresh lime juice
Chilled sparkling wine (or non alcoholic cider for a mocktail)

Method: Place seeds in the bottom of your champagne flute. Top with lime juice, cointreau, pomegranate juice and sparkling wine. Optional: Garnish with a fresh sprig of rosemary.

BOOZY LEMON SLUSHIES


Ingredients (per cocktail):
1 cup fresh lemonade
30ml vodka (skip for a mocktail or use a non alcoholic substitute)
½tsp lemon zest
½ cup cold water

Method: Combine all ingredients in ice cube trays and freeze for at least 8-10 hours. Place in a food processor and process until you’ve reached the desired consistency. Optional: Garnish with fresh lemon/lime slices and fresh blackberries.

GINGERBREAD AND CARAMILK EGGNOG

 

Ingredients (per cocktail):
1 large egg
1tbsp grated caramilk (½ for the mix and ½ for the garnish)
Pinch nutmeg
Pinch cinnamon
30ml cognac (skip for a mocktail or replace with a non alcoholic substitute)
30ml bourbon (skip for a mocktail or replace with a non alcoholic substitute)
¼ cup milk of choice
¼ cup heavy cream
1 gingerbread cookie crushed (½ for the mix and ½ for the garnish)

Method: For the easiest eggnog ever, lightly beat your egg then add it to a blender with all other ingredients. Transfer to an airtight container and leave in the fridge for at least 24 hours for the flavours to develop. Shake before serving. Optional: Garnish with grated caramilk, cookie crumbs and/or a cinnamon stick.

CHRISTMAS COCONUT MOJITO

 

Ingredients (per cocktail):
6 fresh mint leaves
2 wedges fresh lime
2tsp sugar
60ml Malibu rum (or a non alcoholic substitute)
2tbsp coconut cream
Soda water to top
Ice

Method: Muddle the mind leaves, lime and sugar in a cocktail shaker. Pour in rum and coconut cream, add ice and shake well. Strain into your cocktail glass and top with some soda water. Optional: Garnish with mint leaves and pomegranate seeds.

CRANBERRY THYME G&T


Ingredients (per cocktail):
1tbsp fresh cranberries
1tbsp white sugar
1/4cup water
1tbsp orange juice
1/2tsp vanilla essence
30ml gin of choice (or a non alcoholic substitute)
Tonic of choice to top

Method: Mix cranberries, sugar, water, orange juice and vanilla essence over low heat in a saucepan for 10 minutes. Add thyme and press with a spoon to release the flavours. Crush the cranberries then strain the mixture into your glass. Top with ice cubes, gin and tonic. Optional: Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs and slices of grapefruit.
